Education for a Greener Future
Award-winning educator and environmental consultant Eco Edd helps schools, trusts, and organisations bring climate action into the heart of learning. With over a decade of experience—both in the UK and internationally—Eco Edd offers tailored support, strategy, and inspiration to empower the next generation of changemakers.
Our Future Depends on Today
Climate change and the threats to our environment present us all with the greatest challenge to our lives and to the lives of future generations. Rising temperatures are destroying our environment by creating weather extremes, natural disasters and food and water shortages. The ice caps are melting, sea levels are rising, and forests are burning. Scientists calculate that global temperatures are over one degree Celsius above pre-industrial levels and rising. Plastic pollutes our oceans and marine life and coral reefs are dying. The eco systems on which all life depends are being destroyed (United Nations, 2025). We need to look after all the resources of nature now so that harmony is restored between people and the planet.
Coming This September: 100 Ideas for a Greener School
Written by Eco Edd, “100 Ideas for Primary Teachers: Greener School” is a practical handbook packed with real-world strategies to bring sustainability into the classroom. Designed for teachers, trainees, and school leaders, it offers tried-and-tested ideas to help students take meaningful climate action at school, at home, and in the community. Supported by Let’s Go Zero, the Foundation for Environmental Education, and the DfE’s Climate Ambassadors Programme. Published by Bloomsbury.

A Message from Edd
"I’ve been at the forefront of Regeneration Education since 2012, driven by a belief that schools can lead the way in creating a greener, fairer future. Over the years, I’ve worked with children, educators, and communities to embed sustainability into every part of school life — not as an add-on, but as a core purpose. My journey has taken me from transforming a UK primary school into one of the top Eco-Schools in the country, to teaching at the renowned Green School Bali as a Primary Teacher and Curriculum Coordinator. Along the way, I’ve led schools to win major national environmental awards, including Eco-Schools Primary Eco School of the Year, Surfers Against Sewage Schools Champion, and Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots Education Institution of the Year.In 2023, I was proud to be named one of 500 Coronation Champions for my environmental work, and in 2024, I was honoured to receive the Foundation for Environmental Education’s Teacher of the Year Award. I’m also an Earth Cubs Superhero Educator — championing global citizenship, climate resilience, and action-led learning in classrooms around the world.Today, I work as an Environmental Education Consultant, supporting Multi-Academy Trusts, schools, universities, teacher trainees, businesses, media organisations, and NGOs. My goal is to give educators the tools and confidence to help young people become changemakers — in school, at home, and in their communities."
