Education & Impact Catalyst, Earth Cubs | Educator | Parent
Edd is a rare kind of educator, someone who leads with heart, purpose and practical action. As a parent, former teacher and as Earth Cubs’ Education and Impact Catalyst, I’ve seen firsthand the transformative effect of his work in schools and across communities. He empowers children to be real changemakers, not just learners of sustainability but doers, confident, informed and inspired to make a difference. His resources are cleverly crafted, so easy to thread into teaching and rooted in the realities of busy classrooms. Edd’s inspiring leadership, exciting website and book of super easy to use ideas are exactly what overwhelmed teachers and education needs right now.

KS2 Leader/ Class Teacher
Through Edd’s hard work the school has achieved Green Flag status for many years. He has worked with other schools in West Dorset and further afield to help them move forwards on their eco journey. He has been a huge asset to our school and inspired so many pupils and staff. He is a fantastic networker, and our school has benefited enormously from the links he has forged. Over the years we have had the privilege of welcoming many visitors into school who have shared their role in protecting the environment. The children have had a wonderful depth of understanding and awareness added to their first school education that can all be linked back to Edd.
Edd has led all of the eco and Harmony principles curriculum work across the school. He has attended training and visited other schools who work by the Harmony principles mentoring and supporting them. In addition to this he has spoken at national and local conferences and written various pieces for educational supplements, explaining how to, and the impact of high quality eco work and how this can be embedded into the curriculum, ethos of a school. He will be a huge asset to any School, MAT, University, Educational/Environmental Organisation or Business.

Our Partner School Stories
A message from Edd
"I’ve been at the forefront of Regeneration Education since 2012, driven by a belief that schools can lead the way in creating a greener, fairer future. Over the years, I’ve worked with children, educators, and communities to embed sustainability into every part of school life — not as an add-on, but as a core purpose.
My journey has taken me from transforming a UK primary school into one of the top Eco-Schools in the country, to teaching at the renowned Green School Bali as a Primary Teacher and Curriculum Coordinator.
Along the way, I’ve led schools to win major national environmental awards, including Eco-Schools Primary Eco School of the Year, Surfers Against Sewage Schools Champion, and Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots Education Institution of the Year.In 2023, I was proud to be named one of 500 Coronation Champions for my environmental work, and in 2024, I was honoured to receive the Foundation for Environmental Education’s Teacher of the Year Award. I’m also an Earth Cubs Superhero Educator — championing global citizenship, climate resilience, and action-led learning in classrooms around the world.
Today, I work as an Environmental Education Consultant, supporting Multi-Academy Trusts, schools, universities, teacher trainees, businesses, media organisations, and NGOs. My goal is to give educators the tools and confidence to help young people become changemakers — in school, at home, and in their communities."
